Ainars Bagatskis
Ainars Bagatskis (born 29 March 1967) is a Latvian former professional basketball player and coach, who currently works as the head coach of CSO Voluntari of the Liga Națională and the senior Ukraine national team. Playing career Club career During his club playing career, Bagatskis played at the small forward position. Latvia national team Bagatskis was a member of the senior Latvia national basketball team, from 1992 to 2006. With Latvia, he played in four EuroBasket tournaments. Coaching career Bagatskis began his coaching career in the 2005–06 season, while playing his last season of professional basketball with Barons Rīga, where he stayed for one season. In 2006, he had a short stint as a head coach in one of the greatest Lithuanian teams, Žalgiris Kaunas. BC Budivelnyk Kyiv (in Ukrainian: Будівельник Київ) is a Ukrainian professional basketball club based in Kyiv. The club plays in the Ukrainian Basketball SuperLeague. BK Ventspils is a professional basketball club that is located in Ventspils, Latvia. The club competes in the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League. History BK Ventspils was founded in 1994. In first years Ventspils proved themselves as relevant part of Latvian basketball, but major step came in 1997 when Ventspils Olympic Center was built. At that time Ventspils started to play in international competitions playing in 1997–98 edition of FIBA Korać Cup, which was followed by playing in FIBA Saporta Cup. BC Sukhumi ( ka, ს.კ. სოხუმი) is a professional basketball club from the city of Sukhumi, that plays in the Georgian Superliga. The club is currently based in Tbilisi. History The club was established in 1991 in Sukhumi. Shortly afterwards, the War in Abkhazia forced the team to leave their home city, and relocate to the Georgian capital.
