Agustín Yáñez
Agustín Yáñez Delgadillo (May 4, 1904 in Guadalajara, Jalisco – January 17, 1980 in Mexico City) was a Mexican writer and politician who served as Governor of Jalisco and Secretary of Public Education during Gustavo Díaz Ordaz's presidency. He is the author of numerous books and the recipient, in 1952 as member of the ''Academia Mexicana de la Lengua'', in 1973, of the ''Premio Nacional de las Letras''. The following is a list of governors of the Mexican state of Jalisco from 1821. The current Constitution indicates a term six years in length, which cannot be renewed under any circumstances. Yahualica is a town and municipality in the northeastern part of Jalisco, Mexico. It is one of the 125 municipalities that make up the state of Jalisco. Yahualica covers some 520.75 square kilometers and shares borders with the state of Zacatecas. The name ''Yahualica'' is thought to be derived from the indigenous roots of the Nahuas.
