Adamello Ski Raid
The Adamello Ski Raid is an annual ski mountaineering competition at the Italian Tonale Pass declared as the final race of the European Cup of Ski Mountaineering by the International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions The International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions (ISMC) located in the ''Floridablanca 84'' in Barcelona was part of the Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme (UIAA) and responsible for ski mountaineering and vertical race ... (ISMC). Starting point of the race is the Tonale Pass, and the release point is in Ponte di Legno. The 40 km race track which has to be covered in teams by three and with classical equipment includes an altitude difference of 3,400 m for the ascent and 4,000 m for skiing down. The highest point is upside 3,000 m. The Adamello Ski Raid is a stage of La Grande Course that includes the most important ski mountaineering competitions of the season. Adamello (in local dialect ''Adamèl'') is a mountain in Lombardy, Italy. With an elevation of , it is the second highest peak of the Adamello-Presanella Alps. It is located in Valcamonica, Lombardy (Province of Brescia). Its glacier, measured over 1600 hectares, is the biggest glacier fully comprised in Italian territory. Anton "Toni" Palzer (born 11 March 1993) is a German ski mountaineer and cyclist. He is a member of the DAV section Berchtesgadener Land and of the German national selection. Since April 2021, Palzer has joined in road bicycle racing. Career Born in Ramsau bei Berchtesgaden, Palzer attended the ''CJD Christophorusschule Berchtesgaden'' until 2009.
