''Aalinganam'' () is a 1976 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed by I. V. Sasi and written by Sherif. The film stars Raghavan, Sridevi, Rani Chandra and Vincent. The film has musical score by A. Padiyath Kochumoideen Kunjalu (1930 22 May 2000), known by his stage name Bahadoor, was an Indian actor and comedian who, along with Adoor Bhasi, redefined the way in which comedy and funny scenes were perceived in the Malayalam cinema. They made a significant contribution toward establishing comedy as the predominant genre of Malayalam cinema. Bahadoor also appeared in some serious roles and in professional plays. Mary Joseph, famously known as Meena (22 April 1941 – 17 September 1997), was an Indian actress. She primarily appeared in Malayalam movies. She died on 17 September 1997 due to a cardiac arrest. Early life Meena (Mary Joseph) was the eighth child in a Marthoma Syrian Christian family from kumarapuram-haripad, in Alappuzha. Born on April 22, 1941 to Koyikkaleth Itty Cheria Eapen and his wife, Eleyamma Eapen, she began her early career in theatre in Kalanilayam and Geetha Arts Club. Prathapachandran
Prathapachandran (1941–2004) was an Indian actor, who worked predominantly in Malayalam film industry, though he acted in a few Tamil and Telugu movies as well. He known for the portrayal of villainous and character roles in over 300 movies. He was born in 1941 at Omallur in Thiruvithamkoor princely state, currently within the Pathanamthitta District, Kerala. Biography Prathapachandran had to end his formal schooling by the 9th standard. He later moved to Kollam, and at the age of 14, he moved to Madras, hoping to be a movie actor. During his initial years, though he failed to garner any significant movie roles, he lent voice in radio plays and acted in plays organized by the Madras Malayali association. The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The awardees are decided by an independent jury formed by the academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. The jury usually consists of eminent personalities from the film field. Ragini (actress)
Ragini (27 March 1937 – 30 December 1976) was an Indian actress and dancer. She was the youngest of the Travancore Sisters; Lalitha, Padmini and Ragini. She started her acting career in the mid-1950s along with her sister Padmini and has acted in movies of different Indian languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. She also starred opposite Shammi Kapoor in film ''Mujrim'' (1958). She played the role of Parvati opposite Trilok Kapoor who played Shiva in the 1962 film Shiv Parvati. Pagalil Oru Iravu
''Pagalil Oru Iravu'' (; also spelled ''Pakalil Oru Iravu'') is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language film directed by I. V. Sasi, starring Vijayakumar, Sridevi, Seema and Ravikumar. It is a remake of Sasi's own Malayalam film ''Aalinganam'' (1976), also starring Sridevi. The film was released on 15 August 1979. Plot Rajee, a doctor, has a love interest in her cousin, Vinod, but, unfortunately for, Vinod loves Bindhu, a shy and down-to-earth girl. Rajee sacrifices her love and so, Vinod marries Bindhu. Bindhu's mother hides some truth about Bindhu to others. Everything goes well for Bindhu and she becomes pregnant but she falls down the stairs and has a miscarriage.
