''A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose'' is a 2005 self-help book by Eckhart Tolle. The book sold 5 million copies in North America by 2009. Eckhart Tolle ( ; ; born Ulrich Leonard Tölle, February 16, 1948) is a German-born spiritual teacher and self-help author of ''The Power of Now'' and '' A New Earth''.
