''A Bigger Splash'' is a 2015 psychological drama film directed by Luca Guadagnino and with a screenplay by David Kajganich from a story by Alain Page. Starring Tilda Swinton, Matthias Schoenaerts, Ralph Fiennes, and Dakota Johnson, the film is loosely based on the 1969 Jacques Deray film '' La Piscine'' and named after the 1967 David Hockney painting of the same name. It is the second instalment in Guadagnino's self-described ''Desire'' trilogy, following '' I Am Love'' (2009) and preceding '' Call Me by Your Name'' (2017). Luca Guadagnino
Luca Guadagnino (; born 10 August 1971) is an Italian film director, producer, and screenwriter. His films are often characterized by their emotional complexities, sensuality and sumptuous visuals. He is also known for his frequent collaborations with actors Tilda Swinton, Timothée Chalamet and Michael Stuhlbarg, editor Walter Fasano and screenwriter David Kajganich. Born in Palermo, Guadagnino spent part of his childhood in Ethiopia, but emigrated back to Italy with his family to escape the Ethiopian Civil War. He began his career directing short films and documentaries. He made his feature-film debut with '' The Protagonists'' (1999), the first of his many collaborations with Swinton. His follow-up '' Melissa P.'' (2005), based on the book of Melissa Panarello, was a commercial success in Italy but was met with mixed critical reception. ''The Playlist'' is a British children's entertainment and music series presented by guest presenters, produced by Strawberry Blond TV for CBBC and first aired on 22 April 2017 and ended on 12 March 2022. The first series was narrated by Scott Mills. Each week the show has a different presenter with Greg James, Dev Griffin, MistaJam or Jordan North presenting the UK Singles Chart Top 10 segment and features various co-presenters since its 16th episode.
