Azaad (1978 Film)
''Azaad'' is a 1978 Bollywood action thriller film produced and directed by Pramod Chakravorty. The film stars Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Ajit, Prem Chopra and Keshto Mukherjee in lead roles. Upon release, the film received excellent response from audience and emerged a superhit as well as the fourth highest-grossing film of the year, behind ''Muqaddar Ka Sikandar'', ''Trishul'' and '' Don''. Pramod Chakravorty (15 August 1929 – 12 December 2004) was an Indian Hindi film producer and director. The 26th Filmfare Awards were held in April 6, 1979. ''Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki'' and ''Muqaddar Ka Sikandar'' led the ceremony with 9 nominations each, followed by ''Satyam Shivam Sundaram'' with 6 nominations, and '' Don'' and ''Trishul'' with 5 nominations each. Anand Bakshi
Anand Bakshi (21 July 1930 – 30 March 2002) was an Indian poet and lyricist. He won Filmfare Award for Best Lyricist 4 times during his career. He wrote over 6000 film songs in more than 300 films. Early life Anand Bakshi (Bakshi Anand Prakash Vaid) was born in Rawalpindi in the Punjab Province of British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan), on 21 July 1930 into a Mohyal Brahmin family of the Vaid clan. The family arrived in Delhi, after the Partition of India and then migrated to Pune, then to Meerut and settled finally in Delhi. Bakshi was fond of writing poetry since his youth, but he did this mostly as a private hobby. In a 1983 interview with Doordarshan, Bakshi recounted that after his initial studies, he joined the Indian Navy, where due to a paucity of time, he could only write occasionally. Mohan Choti (1935 – 1 February 1992) was an Indian actor who worked as a comedian in Hindi films. The name Mohan Choti came from a fictional character of the same name from the 1957 film '' Musafir'', in which he plays a tea shop delivery boy who sports a "choti" or traditional lock of hair on the top of his head. Biography Mohan Choti was born as Mohan Rakshakar to Constable Atmaram Rakshakar in 1935 at Amravati, Amravati District Maharashtra. Bhagwan Dada (1 August 1913 – 4 February 2002), also credited and mononymously known as Bhagwan, was an Indian actor and film director who worked in Hindi cinema. He is best known for his social film '' Albela'' (1951) and the songs "Shola Jo Bhadke" and "O Beta Ji O Babuji Qismat Ki Hawa Kabhi Naram". Jankidas Mehra (1910 – 18 June 2003) was an Indian actor of Hindi cinema, cyclist, production designer, and writer. He made over 1000 film appearances between the 1930s and 1997.
