Taru Mäkelä
Taru Mäkelä (born 1 April 1959) is a Finnish film director and screenwriter. She started her career in the 1980s working for the Finnish Broadcasting Company. Life and career Besides directing and screenwriting, Mäkelä has also worked as a producer, editor and actor. Mäkelä studied at the Department of Cinematography at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture and graduated with a master's degree in art in 1989. She is also a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Helsinki. Mäkelä began her career as a director in the 1980s at YLE, where she wrote and directed the Smiley Lips entertainment series. She has directed three feature films: ''Little Sister'' (1999), ''The Storage'' (2011) and '' August Fools'' (2013). In December 2014, Mäkelä's comedy ''Eila, Rampe and Likka'', based on the characters in Sinikka Nopola's books, premiered. Aku-Heikki Ilmari Hirviniemi (born 5 December 1983, in Riihimäki) is a Finnish actor. He is well-known for his role as Urho Hietanen in the 2017 war film ''The Unknown Soldier (2017 film), The Unknown Soldier''. Theatre and television Hirviniemi has worked for several theatres around Finland, including Helsinki, Riihimäki, Jyväskylä, Lahti and Hämeenlinna, while also acting in films and on television. He first gained popularity in a television series ''Presidentin kanslia'' (2008–2011) in which he played the chauffeur Illu Airisto. In the spring of 2010, Hirviniemi became a household name in Finland when a weekly sketch comedy television show ''Putous'' premiered. In the first season, his female character Marja Tyrni was crowned as the "sketch comedy character of the year". He was part of the cast in the first five seasons of the show, but announced on 1 March 2014 that he would not return for season six. Anna Katriina "Kati" Outinen (born 17 August 1961) is a Finnish actress who has often played leading female roles in Aki Kaurismäki's films. Outinen was born in Helsinki. Having studied under Jouko Turkka during his "reign" of drama studies in Finland, she nevertheless has never been associated with the "''turkkalaisuus''" school of acting methodology. Pirkka-Pekka Petelius
Pirkka-Pekka Petelius (born 31 May 1953) is a Finnish actor, director, producer, screenwriter and politician. He has also released six records as a singer. He is a member of the Green League and was elected to the Finnish parliament in the 2019 election with 6,331 personal votes, but is not a member of the parliament any more. Petelius's breakthrough was in Yleisradio's sketch series '' Velipuolikuu'' (1983), which he wrote and also acted in. The popularity gained by the series started Petelius's career as one of the most well-known comedians in Finland. Vesa Tapio Vierikko (born 24 May 1956 in Lappeenranta, Finland) is a Finnish actor. Vierikko began acting in 1978 on television working consistently throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He starred in the 2003 film ''Sibelius'' working with Finnish director Timo Koivusalo and actors such as Martti Suosalo, Heikki Nousiainen and Seela Sella and Miina Turunen.
