Arvid Söderblom
Arvid Söderblom (born 19 August 1999) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) for Frölunda HC and Skellefteå AIK. Playing career On 13 May 2021, Söderblom signed a two-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL. On 1 January 2022, Söderblom made his NHL debut in a game against the Nashville Predators. He allowed three goals on 18 shots in a 6–1 loss. On 2 January, he made his home debut in a game against the Calgary Flames. He allowed four goals on 41 shots in a 5–1 loss. 2020–21 SHL Season
The 2020–21 SHL season was the 46th season of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The regular season began in September 2020 and ended on 3 April 2021, it was then followed by the playoffs and the relegation playoffs. The league consisted of the 14 teams that competed in the 2019–20 season; because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden, no relegation or promotion took place after the previous season. The Växjö Lakers won the regular season for the third time in club history. In the SHL qualifier, Brynäs IF defeated HV71 in five games to stay in the SHL. The Växjö Lakers won the Le Mat Trophy for the third time, defeating Rögle BK by 4 games to 1 in the playoffs final. Hockeyettan is the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden. As of the 2015–16 season, the league consists of 39 teams divided geographically into four groups. Hockeyettan operates a system of promotion and relegation with HockeyAllsvenskan and Division 2. From 1944 to 1975, Division I was the highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system, but with the creation of Elitserien (now the SHL) in 1975, it became the second tier. Division I was further relegated to third-tier status in 1999 as HockeyAllsvenskan was spun off into a standalone league, but was frequently written as "Division 1" on the Internet, as it was pronounced "Division One". 2016–17 SHL Season
The 2016–17 SHL season is the 42nd season of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The regular season began in September 2016 and ended in March 2017. The playoffs follow the conclusion of the regular season. Rögle BK and Leksands IF were forced to play in the SHL qualifiers to defend their SHL status. Rögle won their series against BIK Karlskoga in four games while Leksand lost to Mora IK over six games. Therefore, Mora were promoted to the SHL at the expense of Leksand. J20 Nationell
J20 Nationell is a junior ice hockey league composed of 20 teams in Sweden. Previously known as the J20 SuperElit, it is the highest-level junior ice hockey league in Sweden. The teams are divided in two groups, or divisions, ''Norra'' (North) and ''Södra'' (South), and are usually associated with a professional team in either the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) or HockeyAllsvenskan in order to develop talented youth for the professional teams. The winning team of the J20 Nationell playoffs is awarded the Anton Cup. Game format Each J20 Nationell game is an ice hockey game played between two teams and is 60 minutes long. Save percentage (often known by such symbols as SV%, SVS%, SVP, PCT) is a statistic in various Goal (sports), goal-scoring sports that track Save (goaltender), saves as a statistic. In ice hockey and lacrosse and association football, it is a statistic that represents the percentage of shot on goal (ice hockey), shots on goal a goaltender stops. It is calculated by dividing the number of saves by the total number of shots on goal. Although the statistic is a percentage, it is often given as a decimal in North America, in the same way as a batting average (baseball), batting average in baseball. Goals Against Average
Goals against average (GAA), also known as average goals against (AGA), is a statistic used in field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and water polo that is the mean of goals allowed per game by a goaltender or goalkeeper (depending on sport). GAA is analogous to a baseball pitcher's earned run average (ERA). In Japanese, the same translation (防御率) is used for both GAA and ERA, because of this. For ice hockey, the goals against average statistic is the number of goals a goaltender allows per 60 minutes of playing time. It is calculated by taking the number of goals against, multiplying that by 60 (minutes) and then dividing by the number of minutes played. The modification has been used by the National Hockey League (NHL) since 1965 and by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 1990.
