Around Us Entertainment is a South Korean independent entertainment company established by Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seob, Yong Jun-hyung, Lee Gi-kwang, Son Dong-woon from boy group Highlight, formerly known as Beast, after leaving their former label Cube Entertainment. History After the BEAST members' contracts with Cube Entertainment expired, they decided to set up their own independent company for their future promotions. The name ''Around Us'' was coined "''with the desire to be closer with and engage more people frequently''". The label aims "''to create music and content that everyone can easily enjoy anywhere around us''". In February 2017, the former BEAST members rebranded themselves as Highlight, after deciding to cease their legal disputes over the copyright of the name BEAST with their former agency Cube Entertainment. Yoon Doo-joon
Yoon Doo-joon (born July 4, 1989), better known mononymously as Doojoon, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is the leader of the South Korean boy group Highlight. Early life Yoon Doo-joon was born in Goyang, South Korea on July 4, 1989. His dream of becoming a high school Physical Education teacher changed suddenly during his second year of high school after watching MTV's ''Big Bang Documentary''. His parents and teachers didn't agree with him at first, though he pleaded with them to register him for music school and he soon started auditioning to become a singer. Yoon then became a trainee of JYP Entertainment and was featured in the Mnet documentary ''Hot Blooded Men'', a reality program that shows the preparation for their debut, with 2AM and 2PM, but he was eliminated along the course of the show. The company operates as a record label, talent agency, music production company, event management and concert production company, and music publishing house. Cube are known for having "self-composing and self-producing" idols. In April 2020, the founder of Cube, Hong Seung-sung, resigned from the company due to an ownership dispute. Yang Yo-seob
Yang Yo-seob (born January 5, 1990), more commonly known as Yoseob, is a South Korean singer and musical actor. He is the main vocalist of the boy group Highlight. Biography Yang was born in Seoul, South Korea on January 5, 1990, in a small family with one older sister, Yang Hae-yeon. His name Yoseob was the Hanja version of the name Joseph, which was later sinicized by the decision of his grand father. He first gained interest in music and started practicing singing after listening to Brian McKnight's music. He then listened to a lot of music of a similar style, but realized that he should not be biased towards a certain genre and started listening to dance music and rock as well. When he was in high school, he joined a school band where he performed a lot of hard rock and metal during their performances.
