Arnaud Caffa
Arnaud Caffa (born 20 October 1998) is a French ice dancer. With his skating partner, Natacha Lagouge, he is the 2022 CS Ice Challenge silver medalist, 2022 International Challenge Cup champion, and Figure skating at the 2023 Winter World University Games, 2023 World University Games bronze medalist. Career Early years Caffa began skating as a ten-year-old and started training in ice dancing two years later. His first partnership fell apart after three years. His second partner was Justine Scache. The two competed in the novice category during the 2013–14 season and moved up to the junior ranks the following season. In the 2016–17 season, Scache/Caffa received an ISU Junior Grand Prix assignment and finished eleventh at the event, which took place in September 2016 in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Winter Universiade
The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games. The most recent games were held in 2019: the Winter Universiade was held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia while the Summer Universiade was held in Naples, Italy. Ice Star
The Minsk-Arena Ice Star, or simply Ice Star, is an international figure skating competition. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dancing on the senior, junior, and novice levels. The inaugural event was held in September 2012 in Minsk, Belarus. During periods of time when the stadium for the event is not used for competitions, the ice rink is rented out to the public for ice skating and hockey as well as used in other events throughout the year. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union. Ice Dancing
Ice dance (sometimes referred to as ice dancing) is a discipline of figure skating that historically draws from ballroom dancing. It joined the World Figure Skating Championships in 1952, and became a Winter Olympic Games medal sport in 1976. According to the International Skating Union (ISU), the governing body of figure skating, an ice dance team consists of one woman and one man. Ice dance, like pair skating, has its roots in the "combined skating" developed in the 19th century by skating clubs and organizations and in recreational social skating. International Challenge Cup
The International Challenge Cup (formerly the Ennia Challenge Cup and the Aegon Cup) is an annual figure skating competition generally held during the last week in February, up till the 2021 edition held in The Hague, Netherlands. Since the 2022 edition a three year contract has been signed with the city of Tilburg to host the event from the IJssportcentrum Tilburg with practice being organised on the neighbouring Ireen Wüst Ice Rink. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing on the senior, junior, novice, and pre-novice levels, such as "Debs".
