Arjan Konterman
Arjan Konterman (28 July 1990) is a Dutch professional darts player who currently plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and World Darts Federation (WDF) events. He qualified for the 2023 WDF World Darts Championship. Career Konterman began his career in local tournaments, where he had occasional success. In February 2020, he took part in the 2020 Dutch Open, where he advanced to the ninth round and finally lost to Brian Raman by 1–4 in legs. The coronavirus pandemic caused his career to slow down significantly. During this time, he honed his skills and returned to international competition in 2021. In December 2021, he took part in the qualifiers for the WDF World Darts Championship, but lost in the Last 32 phase to Jeffrey Bekema by 1–4 in legs. Staphorst
Staphorst () is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands. History The villages of Staphorst and its southern neighbour Rouveen came into existence as in the 13th century monks started to bring the bogs and swamps into culture. All the farms were built along the long road through the bog area. Thus a lengthy row of farms was built, becoming the long village of Staphorst-Rouveen. 2022 Dutch Open (darts)
The 2022 Dutch Open (officially referred to as the 2022 TOTO Dutch Open Darts) was the 49th edition of the Dutch Open organised by the World Darts Federation. The tournament was held at the De Bonte Wever in Assen, Netherlands. Tournament has been awarded Platinum ranking status, with a total prize fund €27,650. Ross Montgomery who won the previous men's tournament was absent from the event, having switched to the Professional Darts Corporation in January 2022. Aileen de Graaf as three-time champion was defending women's title, but she lost in quarter-finals to later finalist Rhian O'Sullivan. Jelle Klaasen became the new champion. Dutch Open (darts)
The Dutch Open is an annual darts tournament that is amongst the longest-running darts tournaments in the world, having started back in 1973. The popularity of darts in the Netherlands since Raymond van Barneveld began amassing world titles has seen the number of entries for the tournament rise dramatically. The 2007 event had 2,867 entries in the Men's Singles, 1,179 in the Men's Pairs, 418 in the Women's Singles and 176 in the Women's Pairs. The 2002 version of the tournament saw the first live nine dart finish during the final between Shaun Greatbatch and Steve Coote. Greatbatch checked out using T20, T15, D18 during the third leg of the second set, The tournament has been covered by Dutch SBS6 television in recent years, and also by Eurosport across Europe. From 2002 to 2013 the tournament was held at NH Conference Centre Koningshof, Veldhoven but since 2014 the tournament has been held at De Bonte Wever in Assen.

World Masters (darts)
The World Masters is a darts tournament, initially organised by the British Darts Organisation from 1974 and later by the World Darts Federation. It is one of the longest-running and most prestigious of the BDO/WDF tournaments. The tournament was originally sponsored by Phonogram before changing its sponsor in 1975 to darts board manufacturer, Winmau. The World Masters was originally contested as the best of 5 legs (first to 3) before later transitioning to the set format. It was previously the final leg of the BDO's Grand Slam title of televised majors, along with the BDO World Darts Championship, International Darts League and World Darts Trophy, until the latter two tournaments were axed in 2008. BDO World Darts Championship
The BDO World Darts Championship was a professional darts tournament organised by the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and held annually from 1978 to 2020. The championship was first held at the Heart of the Midlands Nightclub in the English city of Nottingham. The following year it moved to the Jollees Cabaret Club, Stoke, where it stayed until 1985. From 1986 to 2019, it was held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey. In 2020, the tournament was held at Indigo, part of the O2 entertainment district in London. Alexander Merkx
Alexander Merkx (born 20 March 1994) is a Dutch darts player who competes in World Darts Federation (WDF) and Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He won 2024 PDC Challenge Tour 21. Career He made his PDC European Tour debut in the 2019 Dutch Darts Masters, but lost 6–1 to Glen Durrant. Merkx also made his first final on the BDO/WDF circuit that year, losing 6-3 to Martin Barratt at the Lithuania Open. Merkx became a WDF Tour regular in 2022, winning ranking titles in Lithuania and Switzerland. He qualified for the 2023 WDF World Championships, winning his first game against Arjan Konterman before losing to Dennis Nilsson in the Last 16. 2023 PDC Pro Tour
The 2023 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. There were thirty Players Championship events and thirteen PDC European Tour events, as well as 24 events for the Challenge and Development Tours, and the Women's Series. Thibault Tricole (born 11 October 1989) is a French professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He was the first French player to reach the final of a World Darts Championship when he finished as runner-up at the 2022 WDF World Darts Championship.
