Aramco Stadium
Aramco Stadium () is a planned multi-purpose stadium located in the north of Khobar, Saudi Arabia. It is set to be a venue for the 2034 FIFA World Cup and has a proposed capacity of 46,096 people, where it will host fixtures in the group stage, round of 32, and round of 16. It will also be used for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. The stadium is named after Aramco, which will operate the venue upon its opening. The stadium's design is inspired by the shape of the water vortex commonly seen off the shores of Khobar city. While Roshn retains ownership, the stadium’s location has caused some confusion, as it sits near the border between the Khobar and Dammam governorates. Although some mistakenly believe it is in Dammam, the stadium is administratively within Khobar’s boundaries. It is also just a few streets away from the stadium of neighboring city rivals, Al-Ettifaq Club Stadium. Multi-purpose Stadium
A multi-purpose stadium is a type of stadium designed to be easily used for multiple types of events. Football uses a rectangular field, while baseball is played on a baseball field, diamond with a large outfield. Since Comparison of American and Canadian football#Playing area, Canadian football fields are larger than American ones, the design specifications for Canadian facilities are somewhat less demanding.
