Aram Talalyan
Aram Talalyan ( hy, Արամ Թալալյան) is an Armenian cellist and Conductor (class field theory), conductor. Biography Aram Talalyan was born in Yerevan in the family of renowned musician Geronty Talalyan. He graduated from Yale University (USA) with master's degree in cello and conducting. Since 1997 he has been teaching cello and chamber music in Yerevan State Conservatory. Aram Talalyan is a founder and artistic director of “Yerevan Baroque Festival” and “Talalyan brothers” Viola-Cello Festival in Armenia. 2010-2011 he has been appointed as an artistic director of Classical Series at Cafesjian Center for the Arts in Yerevan (Armenia), 2000-2009 - served as a cellist of Komitas String Quartet. SInce 2015 Talalyan is a cellist of Aram Khachaturian State string quartet. Yerevan
Yerevan ( , , hy, Երևան , sometimes spelled Erevan) is the capital and largest city of Armenia and one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. Vladimir Spivakov
Vladimir Teodorovich Spivakov (Russian: Влади́мир Теодо́рович Спивако́в; born 12 September 1944) is a Soviet and Russian conductor and violinist best known for his work with the Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra. Spivakov was born in Ufa. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory. Spivakov is also considered one of the foremost violinists of his generation, having studied with Yuri Yankelevich at the Moscow Conservatory. Spivakov currently serves as the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the National Philharmonic of Russia. He conducted the music for Garri Bardin's 2010 animated feature, ''The Ugly Duckling''. In March 2014 he signed a letter in support of Vladimir Putin's policies regarding the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea and Ukraine. Sergey Khachatryan (also spelled Sergei Khachatryan; hy, Սերգեյ Խաչատրյան) (born 5 April 1985 in Yerevan) is an Armenian violinist. Since 1993 he has lived in Germany where he gave his first orchestral concert at the age of nine in the Kurhaus, Wiesbaden. He made his New York City debut on 4 August 2006, playing the Beethoven Violin Concerto in Avery Fisher Hall under the baton of Osmo Vänskä. In June 2013, he played Shostakovich's first Violin Concerto with the Seattle Symphony and Ludovic Morlot conducting. Levon Chilingirian
Levon Chilingirian OBE (Լևոն Չիլինկիրեան born 28 May 1948) is a UK-based violinist of Armenian origin. The founder of the Chilingirian Quartet, he is also a professor and Chamber Music Artist in Residence at the Royal Academy of Music and professor of Violin and Chamber Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, both in London. Born to Armenian parents in Nicosia, Cyprus, Chilingirian began playing the violin when he was five, being taught by his great-uncle, Vahan Bedelian. He came to Britain when he was 12 and studied at the Royal College of Music. With Clifford Benson (piano), he won first prize in the BBC Beethoven and the Munich Duo competitions in 1969 and 1971 respectively. Diemut Poppen (born in Münster, Germany) is a German musician. She began violin lessons at the age of seven, but changed to the viola having been exposed to it through playing chamber music. She has been taught by leading players such as Kim Kashkashian, Bruno Giuranna, Yuri Bashmet, , and the Amadeus Quartet. She has also studied with Frans Brüggen, Heinz Holliger and Claudio Abbado. Wolfgang Meyer
Wolfgang Meyer (13 August 1954 – 17 March 2019) was a German clarinetist and professor of clarinet at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe. He worked internationally as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles, and in jazz, with a repertoire from early music played on historical instruments to world premieres. Career Meyer studied clarinet with Otto Hermann at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Stuttgart from 1968 to 1972, and then with Hans Deinzer at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover, until 1978. He studied along with his sister Sabine Meyer, with whom he also maintained a lifelong partnership professionally. Cellist
The cello ( ; plural ''celli'' or ''cellos'') or violoncello ( ; ) is a bowed (sometimes plucked and occasionally hit) string instrument of the violin family. Günther Herbig
Günther Herbig (born 30 November 1931) is a German conductor. Born in Ústí nad Labem, Czechoslovakia, Herbig studied conducting at the Franz Liszt Academy in Weimar in 1951 (then in East Germany) with Hermann Abendroth. He later was a student of Hermann Scherchen, Arvids Jansons, and Herbert von Karajan. After completing his studies, he became ''Kapellmeister'' at the Deutsches Nationaltheater and Staatskapelle Weimar in 1956. He subsequently held operatic posts in Erfurt and Potsdam. From 1972 to 1977, he was chief conductor of the Dresden Philharmonic. He was chief conductor of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra from 1977 to 1983.
