Antonio French
Antonio French is a former St. Louis City Alderman, city alderman in St. Louis, Missouri's Ward 21, St. Louis City, 21st Ward. From 2009 until 2017 French served as the Alderman, representing part of the neighborhoods of Penrose, St. Louis, Penrose, College Hill, St. Louis, College Hill, and O'Fallon, St. Louis, O'Fallon, where he was born and raised. Prior to becoming Alderman, he served the 21st Ward as the Democratic Committeeman and managed numerous winning political campaigns as the president of his own consulting firm. Shooting Of Michael Brown
On August 9, 2014, 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by police officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. Brown was accompanied by his 22-year-old male friend Dorian Johnson. Wilson, a white male Ferguson police officer, said that an altercation ensued when Brown attacked him in his police vehicle for control of Wilson's service pistol. The struggle continued until the pistol fired. Johnson said that Wilson initiated a confrontation by grabbing Brown by the neck through Wilson's patrol car window, threatening him and then shooting at him. John Collins-Muhammad, Jr. (born 1991), known by his initials, JCM, is a former American politician and Muslim minister from the state of Missouri. He served on the Board of Aldermen of the City of St. Louis representing the 21st Ward. Collins-Muhammad was elected to his first term in April 2017 at the age of 25, which makes him the youngest person ever to be elected alderman in St. Louis, and the first Muslim ever elected to that position. He was re-elected in April 2021 garnishing nearly 65% of the vote in his ward. He resigned in May 2022.
