Angelique Stannett (born 15 April 1997) is an Australian rules footballer and the captain of the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She is a former soccer player for Perth Glory in the W-League. Early life Stannett was born in New Zealand, arriving in Australia with her family at the age of three. Soccer career Stannett took up soccer at the age of six, playing for Sutherlands Park in the southern suburbs of Perth. Stannett played six matches for Perth Glory during the 2015–16 W-League season. Australian rules football career Stannett was drafted by Fremantle as a rookie signing. She made her debut in the four point win against at Casey Fields in the opening round of the 2019 season. WAFL Women's (WAFLW) is an Australian rules football league based in Perth, Western Australia. The WAFLW is the premier women's football competition in Western Australia and is contested by eight teams, all of whom are owned and operated by clubs in the men's West Australian Football League (WAFL). Natasha Rigby (born 24 January 1993) is a former Australian soccer player who played for Perth Glory in the A-League Women. Early life Rigby grew up in Margaret River, a small town south of Perth. There was no girls' soccer team, and she played with the boys. Between the ages of 15 and 17, Rigby represented Western Australia in the National Youth Championships. At age 18, Rigby moved to Perth to study sports science at the University of Western Australia, where she also played in the state league.
