Angela Lonsdale
Angela Lonsdale ( Smith; 13 October 1967) is an English actress. Early life Born to a policeman father, Lonsdale trained at Brewery Youth Theatre at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal. Whilst there, she took part in many amateur productions, including plays by local playwrights John Newman-Holden and Tim Bull. After initial rejection, Lonsdale then graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. Career Lonsdale is best known for her portrayal of police officer Emma Watts (née Taylor) on the long-running ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street''. First appearing in April 2000, her storylines included a long-lasting feud with neighbour Les Battersby and a tempestuous marriage to Curly Watts, with whom she departed Weatherfield in September 2003 upon securing a job promotion. Next, Lonsdale began appearing as DI Eva Moore in the daytime BBC drama ''Doctors''. ''A Touch of Frost'' is a British television detective mystery drama series starring David Jason produced by Yorkshire Television (later ITV Studios) for ITV from 6 December 1992 until 5 April 2010, initially based on the Frost novels by R. ''The Syndicate'' is a British television drama series. It was written by Kay Mellor and is broadcast on BBC One. It sees five members of a betting syndicate win the lottery. Each series follows a different syndicate. The first series is set in a Leeds supermarket; the second, a public hospital in Bradford; the third, a crumbling stately home near Scarborough; and the fourth is set between a dog kennel in Yorkshire and Monaco.
