Andrew Fairlie (actor)
Andrew Fairlie is a Scottish actor who is most famous for playing the role of Gash Nesbitt in the BBC sitcom ''Rab C. Nesbitt''. He also starred as Sunny Jim in the 1994 BBC Scotland series ''The Tales of Para Handy''. Between the end of the regular series of Rab C. Nesbitt in 1999 and 2008, Fairlie did no acting, until reprising the role of Gash in the 2008 Christmas special. Broxburn ( gd, Srath Bhroc, IPA: �s̪ɾaˈvɾɔʰk is a town in West Lothian, Scotland, on the A89 road, from the West End of Edinburgh, from Edinburgh Airport and to the north of Livingston. Etymology The name Broxburn is a corruption of "brock's burn", brock being an old Scots name for a badger whether from the Gaelic ''broc'' or the Pictish/Welsh/Brythonic ''Broch'' and burn being a Scots word for a large stream or small river. Rab �âːb( dlm, Arba, la, Arba, it, Arbe, german: Arbey) is an island in the northern Dalmatia region in Croatia, located just off the northern Croatian coast in the Adriatic Sea. The island is long, has an area of and 9,328 inhabitants (2011). The main settlement on the island is the eponymous town of Rab, although the neighboring village of Palit has the biggest population. The highest peak is Kamenjak at 408 m. The northeastern side of the island is mostly barren, karst, while the southwestern side is covered by one of the last oak forests of the Mediterranean. The Tales Of Para Handy
''The Tales of Para Handy'' is a Scottish television series set in the western isles of Scotland in the 1930s, based on the Para Handy books by Neil Munro. It starred Gregor Fisher as Captain Peter "Para Handy" MacFarlane, Sean Scanlan as first mate Dougie Cameron, Rikki Fulton as engineer Dan Macphail and Andrew Fairlie as Sunny Jim. These four made up the crew of the puffer '' Vital Spark'' which was employed by the Campbell Shipping Company, headquartered in Glasgow and run by Andrew Campbell (Paul Young), Para Handy's brother-in-law and owner of the ''Vital Spark''. Iain Robertson (born 27 May 1981) is a BAFTA award winning Scottish actor. He portrayed Lex in cult Glasgow gang film, '' Small Faces'', though Robertson is also known for his work in the long-running children's drama, '' Grange Hill'' and '' The Debt Collector'', also starring Billy Connolly. Robertson featured in Steven Spielberg's '' Band of Brothers'' and played "Gash" in the cult Scottish comedy '' Rab C. Nesbitt''. ''Taggart'' is a Scottish detective fiction television programme created by Glenn Chandler, who wrote many of the episodes, and made by STV Studios for the ITV network. It originally ran as the miniseries "Killer" from 6 until 20 September 1983, before a full series was commissioned that ran from 2 July 1985 until 7 November 2010.
