Andrea Herzog
Andrea Herzog (born 9 December 1999) is a German slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2014. Career She won three medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with two golds in C1 (2019, 2022) and a silver in C1 team (2022). She has also won five medals (1 gold, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes) at the European Championships, including a bronze in the C1 team event at the 2023 European Games in Kraków. At the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Herzog won a bronze medal in the C1 event. The 2021 Canoe Slalom World Cup was a series of four races in several canoeing and kayaking categories organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 34th edition. Calendar The series opened with World Cup Race 1 in Prague, Czech Republic (11–13 June) and closed with the World Cup Final in Pau, France (10–12 September). Canoe Slalom At The 2023 European Games
Canoe slalom events at the 2023 European Games were held at the Kraków-Kolna Canoe Slalom Course. A total of 10 medal events were contested, 5 for men and women each (C1, K1, Kayak cross, C1 team and K1 team). It was the first time that canoe slalom was in the program of European Games. The competition was also the 24th edition of the European Canoe Slalom Championships. Qualification Each NOC (National Olympic Committee) is allowed three quota spots in each individual event. The 2017 ICF World Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Bratislava, Slovakia from 18 to 23 July 2017 under the auspices of the International Canoe Federation (ICF) at the Čunovo Water Sports Centre. It was the 19th edition of the competition for Juniors (U18) and the 6th edition for the Under 23 category. The C2 mixed event was held for the first time at these championships. It was only contested at the Under 23 level and there was no C2 mixed team event. No medals were awarded for the junior C2 event and the U23 C2 team event due to low number of participating nations. The ICF World Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships are an annual international canoeing and kayaking event organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). The Junior World Championships were first held in 1986 and then every two years until 2012. The Under-23 category has been added to the program in 2012. The 2020 European Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships took place at the Kraków-Kolna Canoe Slalom Course in Kraków, Poland from 1 to 4 October 2020 under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA). The event was moved from its original date (13 to 16 August 2020) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
