Anagennisi Karditsa Football Club () is a Greek professional football club based in Karditsa, Greece, which competes in the Super League 2, the second tier of the Greek football league system. History One of the oldest clubs in Greek football, Anagennisi was formed on October 16, 1904 in the southwestern Thessalian city of Karditsa as the football team of the multisport club ASA (), the Athletic Association Anagennisi. The name of the club comes from the Greek word for "renaissance". The statute of the club was signed personally by Crown Prince Constantine I. The first Olympic Games in Greece, in '1896, make the conditions for the creation of an athletic club in the city of Karditsa. The 2014–15 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football system and the fifth season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. This is the second season since 1982–83, and the third season overall, that the league has more than one group. The groups are created based on geographical criteria. Notes Doxa Drama and Aris withdrew from the league before the North Group draw. As a result of this the group left with only 12 teams and Fokikos moved from the South Group to the North Group. The 2013–14 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football system and the fourth season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. This is the first season after 1982–83 that the league has more than one groups. The groups are created based on geographical criteria. The 2010–11 Football League is the second division of the Greek professional football system and the first season under the name Football League after previously being known as ''Beta Ethniki''. Its regular season began on 12 September 2010 and ended on 15 May 2011; the promotion play-offs, originally scheduled to take place immediately afterwards, were postponed to late July 2011 in wake of the Koriopolis scandal. The 2007–08 Gamma Ethniki was the 25th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. It started on September 23, 2007 and ended on June 8, 2008. Diagoras and Kavala were crowned champions in ''South'' and ''North'' Groups, respectively, thus winning promotion to Beta Ethniki. The third promotion ticket was gained by Anagennisi Karditsa, second-placed in ''North'' Group, after the win against Ilioupoli, second-placed in ''South'', to the single play-off match which was held on June 14, 2008, at Georgios Kamaras Stadium. 2006–07 Gamma Ethniki
The 2006–07 Gamma Ethniki was the 24th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. Agios Dimitrios and Pierikos were crowned champions in ''South'' and ''North'' Group respectively, thus winning promotion to Beta Ethniki. ASK Olympiacos won the third promotion ticket after defeating Rodos 2-1 in a single play-off match at Municipal Ground of Peristeri between the two groups' second-placed teams. Paniliakos, OF Ierapetra, PAO Varda, Zakynthos, Androutsos Gravia, Nafpaktiakos Asteras and Doxa Gratini were finally relegated to Delta Ethniki or the Regional Championship. The highlight of the season was a match in penultimate round in which Apollon Smyrni's fans made serious incidents against Paniliakos. The 2005–06 Gamma Ethniki was the 23rd season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. Asteras Tripolis and Agrotikos Asteras were crowned champions in ''Southern'' and ''Northern'' Group respectively, thus winning promotion to Beta Ethniki.
