Amy Sinclair
Amy Sinclair (born 1975) is an American politician serving as the president of the Iowa Senate since 2023, having represented the Iowa's 12th Senate district, 12th district since 2013. A member of the Iowa Republican Party, Republican Party, she briefly served as the acting List of lieutenant governors of Iowa, lieutenant governor of Iowa in 2024 following the resignation of Adam Gregg. Career Before her election to the Iowa Senate, she served two terms on the Wayne County Board of Supervisors. As of June 2016, Sinclair currently serves on the following committees: Commerce, Education, and Judiciary, Government Oversight, and Rules and Administration. Susan Larson Christensen (born April 27, 1962) is an American lawyer who has served as an associate justice of the Iowa Supreme Court since 2018 and as the chief justice since 2020. Mark Costello (born October 24, 1961) is the Iowa State Senator from the Iowa Senate, District 8, 8th District. Allerton is a city in Wayne County, Iowa. The population was 430 at the time of the 2020 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , all land. Allerton reservoir and Bob White State Park are located approximately three miles west of Allerton. Transportation Allerton was served by Iowa Highway 40 until it was turned over to Wayne County and made a county road. There is a network of paved farm to market roads starting in Allerton and connecting with the surrounding towns. Allerton was a division point on the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad until the bankruptcy of the line in 1980. The old Golden State Route that ran east from Allerton through Seymour, Fairfield and Chicago was then abandoned. Leon is a city in and the county seat of Decatur County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,822 at the time of the 2020 census. The city is located near the Little River Lake Recreation Area. Leon is home to a major rodeo that has been Rodeo of the Year in Iowa for many years. History Center Township was organized as part of the formation of the county on 1 April 1850. Because Decatur City was inaccessible to the rest of the county during the area's periodic floods, a majority of the county voted to move the county seat to a nearby location east of the Little River.
