''Amar Es'' (English: ''To Love Is'') is the eighth studio album recorded by Mexican singer-songwriter Cristian Castro. It was released by RCA Records, BMG U.S. Latin on September 30, 2003 (see 2003 in music). This album was produced by Emilio Estefan, Emilio Estefan Jr., co-produced by Randall M. Barlow, Federico Ehrlich, Roberto Livi and Rudy Pérez. ''Amar Es'', which translates to English as "To Love Is", is notable for its eclectic use of languages and musical styles. The song "Why", for example, is in English, whilst the lead single "No Hace Falta" combines Japanese and Latin pop. Cristian Sáinz Castro (born 8 December 1974) is a Mexican pop singer. He is the son of actors Verónica Castro and Manuel "El Loco" Valdés, and nephew of actors Ramón Valdés (known for playing Don Ramón in '' El Chavo del Ocho'') and Germán "Tin-Tan" Valdés. Fernando Jose Perdomo (born August 17, 1980) is an American musician and producer. He is asession bassist and guitarist. He is best known as one of the guitarists in the movie '' Echo in the Canyon'', where he backed up Jakob Dylan, Fiona Apple, Beck, Norah Jones, Regina Spektor, Brian Wilson, and Cat Power.
