Ashkelon
Ashkelon or Ashqelon (; Hebrew: , , ; Philistine: ), also known as Ascalon (; Ancient Greek: , ; Arabic: , ), is a coastal city in the Southern District of Israel on the Mediterranean coast, south of Tel Aviv, and north of the border with the Gaza Strip. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC ) is a lobbying group that advocates pro-Israel policies to the legislative and executive branches of the United States. The 2015–16 Israeli Premier League was the seventeenth season since its introduction in 1999 and the 74th season of top-tier football in Israel. It began on 22 August 2015 and ended in May 2016. Guy Azouri ( he, גיא עזורי; born 2 June 1963) is an Israeli football manager. He is currently the head coach of the Israeli National Women's Football team, and the head of the Israeli Women's Football Academy. After playing as a youth in the Maccabi Tel Aviv youth team, Azouri spent most of his football career as a player in the United States. After an injury Azouri turned to coaching, serving as assistant coach under Avram Grant and Eli Ohana. Azouri moved to Beitar Jerusalem in 2005 as Eli Ohana's assistant coach. Eli Alaluf ( he, אלי אלאלוף; born 17 February 1945) is an Israeli politician. Formerly a senior bureaucrat for the Israeli government and Israeli NGOs, who later served as a member of the Knesset for Kulanu. Biography Alaluf was born in Fes, Morocco.
