Alon Eder
Alon Eder (; born 8 July 1983), is an Israeli singer-songwriter and musician. Early life He was born in Tel Aviv in Israel in 1983 to parents Miki Kam, an actress, and Yehuda Eder, a musician. He studied at the Tel Aviv School of Arts for elementary and middle school. He then studied at the Open Democratic School in Jaffa in grades 10–11. He transferred to Alon High School in Ramat HaSharon for grade 12, majoring in music. As a conscript in the Israel Defense Forces, he served with the Israeli military ensembles. Career His debut album, "Alon Eder", was released in February 2011 as a self-release and contained 15 songs that he composed, arranged and produced. Eight of the songs are poems adapted into songs. In December of the same year, his second album, "Alon Eder and Band", was released, which included 13 songs, most of which he wrote and all of which he composed. Chava Alberstein
Chava Alberstein ( , born 8 December 1946 in Poland) is an Israeli musician, lyricist, composer, and musical arranger. She moved to Israel in 1950 and started her music career in 1964. Alberstein has released over sixty albums in Hebrew, English, and Yiddish. She is known for her liberal activism and advocacy for human rights and Arab-Israeli unity, which has sometimes stirred controversy, such as the ban of her song "Had Gadya" by Israel State Radio in 1989. Alberstein has received numerous accolades, including the Kinor David Prize, the Itzik Manger Prize, and honorary doctorates from several universities. Pardes Hanna-Karkur () is a town in the Haifa District of Israel. In it had a population of . It has been characterized as having a hipster culture. History An Arab village named Karkur had stood at this location by the time the Palestine Exploration Fund had compiled its first maps in 1878. In 1913, 15 square kilometers of land was purchased by the Hachsharat Hayishuv society from Arabs in Jenin and Haifa for 400,000 francs (a sum equivalent to 2 million US dollars). Two years later, the land was sold to a private investor, Yitzhak Shlezinger, the Odessa Committee and the First London Ahuza society.
