Allen Gum
Allen Gum (born July 22, 1969) is an American baseball coach and player. He played college baseball at Crowder College from 1988 to 1989 before transferring to Southern Arkansas Muleriders baseball, Southern Arkansas. He then served as the head coach of the Southern Arkansas Muleriders (2006–2010) and the Central Arkansas Bears baseball, Central Arkansas Bears (2011–2021). Gum currently coaches at Shiloh Christian School in Springdale, Arkansas. Pre-collegiate coaching Gum played two seasons at Crowder Roughriders baseball, Crowder College before completing his eligibility at Southern Arkansas Muleriders baseball, Southern Arkansas. Both seasons with the Muleriders, he batted above .300 and helped lead the team to conference championships. In his junior season, Southern Arkansas reached the NAIA World Series, where Gum was awarded the Charles Berry Hustle Award. Shiloh Christian School
Shiloh Christian School is a private school, private Baptist Christian school in Springdale, Arkansas, United States. History Shiloh Christian School was founded in 1976 as a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Springdale, by Dennis Cottrell and Tom Ellis, under the leadership of Pastor Cliff Palmer. Southland Conference
The Southland Conference (SLC) is a collegiate athletic conference which operates in the South Central United States (specifically Texas and Louisiana). It participates in the NCAA's Division I for all sports; for football, it participates in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Southland sponsors 18 sports, 10 for women and eight for men, and is governed by a presidential Board of Directors and an Advisory Council of athletic and academic administrators. 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2013 NCAA Division I baseball tournament began on Friday, May 31, 2013, as part of the 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 64 team double elimination tournament concluded with the 2013 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which began on June 15 and ended with the final round on June 25. The UCLA Bruins swept the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a best-of-three series to win the NCAA National Championship, the university's first in baseball and the 109th national title in all sports.
