Alfred Teischinger
Alfred Teischinger (born 1954) is an Austrian wood scientist and technologist and emeritus professor at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), who is an elected fellow (''FIAWS'') of the International Academy of Wood Science. Research career Teischinger earned his doctorate degree in wood technology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna (1988). In the period 1991–2000, he transitioned to the position of assistant professor in wood technology and became the head of the accredited testing laboratory at the higher technical college in Mödling in Austria. In the years 1990–2000, he served as editor-in-chief at the scientific journal ''Holzforschung und Holzverwertung''. Later, in 2000, he became full-time professor of wood technology at BOKU. Mödling
Mödling () is the capital of the Austrian district of the same name located approximately 14 km south of Vienna. Mödling lies in Lower Austria's industrial zone (Industrieviertel). The Mödlingbach, a brook which rises in the Vienna Woods, flows through the town. Near Achau it joins with the Schwechat. Peter Niemz (1950) is a German-born Swiss materials engineer, retired wood scientist and emeritus professor of the Institute of Building Materials at ETH Zurich, who is an elected fellow (''FIAWS'') of the International Academy of Wood Science. Biography Niemz was born and grew up in the small town of Crosta (Großdubrau), then part of the East Germany. In 1968–1972, he studied at the Technical University of Dresden, specializing in wood and fiber based materials. Afterwards, he was employed as a researcher at the Institute for Wood Science and Technology (Dresden), where he worked during the years 1972–1992. In 1993 Niemz was elected as a professor at the University of Valdivia (today, Austral University of Chile) in Chile at the Institute of Wood Science and Technology and worked there until 1996. Dick Sandberg (Söderhamn, Sweden; born in May 8, 1967) is a Swedish mechanical engineer and wood scientist at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), who is an elected fellow (''FIAWS'') of the International Academy of Wood Science. He is currently the editor-in-chief at the journal Wood Material Science and Engineering, and the period 2013-2024, he was a faculty member and chair professor at the Luleå University of Technology.
