Alexander Singer
Alexander Singer (18 April 1928 – 28 December 2020) was an American director. He began his career behind the camera in 1951 as a cinematographer on the short documentary '' Day of the Fight'', directed by his high-school friend Stanley Kubrick.Gelmis, Josep"An Interview with Stanley Kubrick (1969) excerpted from ''The Film Director as Superstar'' New York: Doubleday, 1970. Day Of The Fight
''Day of the Fight'' is a 1951 American short-subject documentary film financed and directed by Stanley Kubrick, who based this black-and-white motion picture on a photo feature he shot two years earlier for '' Look'' magazine. Synopsis ''Day of the Fight'' shows Irish-American middleweight boxer Walter Cartier during the height of his career, on April 17, 1950, the day of a fight with middleweight Bobby James. The film opens with a short section on boxing's history and then follows Cartier through his day as he prepares for the 10 P.M. bout. Cartier eats breakfast in his West 12th Street apartment in Greenwich Village, goes to early mass, and eats lunch at his favorite restaurant. At 4 P.M., he starts preparations for the fight. By 8 P.M., he is waiting in his dressing room at Laurel Gardens in Newark, New Jersey, for the fight to begin. MacGyver (1985 TV Series)
''MacGyver'' is an American action-adventure television series created by Lee David Zlotoff and starring Richard Dean Anderson as the title character. Henry Winkler and John Rich were the executive producers. The series follows the adventures of Angus MacGyver, a secret agent armed with remarkable scientific resourcefulness to solve any problem out in the field using any materials at hand. The show ran for seven seasons on ABC in the United States and various other networks abroad from 1985 to 1992. The series was filmed in Los Angeles during seasons one, two and seven, and in Vancouver during seasons three through six.
