Alex Williams is an Australian actor who played the lead role of Julian Assange in the 2012 television film ''Underground: The Julian Assange Story''. Originally from the northern Perth suburb of Sorrento, Western Australia, Sorrento, Williams attended Mount Lawley Senior High School's Specialist Visual & Performing Arts (SVAPA) Program before moving to St Stephen's School, Perth, St Stephen's School in neighbouring Duncraig, Western Australia, Duncraig where he graduated in 2008. He then attended the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. His first audition after graduation was for the role of Assange. Alexander Williams MBE (born 13 November 1961) is an English former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He won the 1980 UEFA European Under-18 Championship and 1984 UEFA European Under-21 Championship with England. Williams made 125 league and cup appearances for Manchester City between 1980 and 1986, and also had brief spells with Queen of the South and Port Vale. He helped City to win promotion out of the Second Division in 1984–85. However, he was forced into early retirement in September 1987 due to a recurring back injury. He continued to work behind the scenes at Manchester City, and in 2002 received an MBE for services to young people. Alexander Boyd Williams (born 15 January 1983), is a Scottish football forward. He has previously played in the Scottish Football League First Division for several clubs. Career Williams began his career with Stirling Albion, where he exploded onto the scene as a teenager, scoring 21 times in 61 appearances, and being linked to moves with big English clubs, such as Spurs and Charlton. Williams headed to Greenock Morton in 2002 for £50,000. His time at Morton, and his subsequent career prospects, were marred by an unproven betting scandal after the club lost a 14-point lead at the top of the Second Division to finish the season in fourth position. Alex Williams (born 20 April 1993) is an Australian rules footballer who played for Greater Western Sydney and Fremantle in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. AFLW career Williams was recruited by the Greater Western Sydney Giants as a priority player in September 2016.
