Alex Lewis (musician)
Yellowcard is an American rock band who formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997. Their official lineup currently consists of lead singer Ryan Key, lead guitarist Ryan Mendez, bassist Josh Portman and violinist Sean Mackin. Primarily a pop-punk group, their music is recognized for having a distinct and unique sound in its genre due to their prominent use of a violin. The group's most-recognized singles include " Ocean Avenue", " Only One", and "Lights and Sounds". Released in 2003, "Ocean Avenue" and its parent album of the same name are both certified double platinum and platinum in the US respectively by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA); "Only One" and the band's 2006 album ''Lights and Sounds'' have been certified gold. The Warped Tour is a Concert tour, touring Rock music, rock music festival that toured the United States and Canada each summer from 1995 until 2019, and returned in 2025 for its 30th anniversary. By 2015, Warped was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival in North America. Peter Mosely
Peter Michael Mosely (born June 6, 1980) is an American rock musician. He is one of the two guitarists and vocalists and the pianist for the American punk rock band Inspection 12, as well as the former bassist for the American rock band Yellowcard. Music career Inspection 12 (1995-2004; 2007-present) In December 1995, Mosely was added as the 5th member in Inspection 12 as second guitar and vocals. His first show with the band was at a friend's backyard birthday party. Because he did not know any of their songs, he only played the cover section consisting of songs by NOFX and Weezer. The band went on to record six full length independent albums, and although being a relatively successful local band, Mosely recalls feeling like outcasts because of their preppy clothes and unorthodox style of punk rock, explaining that "Whenever we'd play a show like Good Riddance or AFI, it would always be a real tough crowd. ''Yellowcard'' is the tenth studio album by American rock band Yellowcard. It was released on September 30, 2016, through Hopeless Records. This was the last album the band released before their breakup in 2017 and reformation in 2022. Background On February 24, 2016, Yellowcard announced that they had re-signed with independent label Hopeless Records and had begun work on their next record. The seventh track "Empty Street" was originally recorded as a Big If (ex-bassist Sean O'Donnell and Key's former side project) demo in 2009. The eighth track "I'm a Wrecking Ball" was a demo originally recorded in 2008 by Key, guitarist Ryan Mendez and Dan McLintock of Inspection 12.
