Pulickel Ajayan
Pulickel Madhavapanicker Ajayan, known as P. M. Ajayan, is the Benjamin M. and Mary Greenwood Anderson Professor in Engineering at Rice University. He is the founding chair of Rice University's Materials Science and NanoEngineering department and also holds joint appointments with the Department of Chemistry and Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Prior to joining Rice, he was the Henry Burlage Professor of Material Sciences and Engineering and the director of the NYSTAR interconnect focus center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute until 2007. Known for his pioneering work of designing and carrying out the first experiments to make nanotubes intentionally. Krishnan Nair Ajayan
Krishnan Ajayan Nair (born 30 May 1979) is an Indian football player. He last played for Chirag United Club Kerala in the I-League, as a midfielder. Career Young Ajayan would play for S.V.H. School in his hometown where he won several trophies. At the age of 11, Ajayan represented Mahatma Club in the popular Seven's tournament. He played for N.S.S. College and even the famous Mahatma Gandhi College, Trivandrum. Ajayan was part of the Kerala University team where thrice they were state winners and twice winners of the South Zone. Ajayan successfully completed his graduation and was awarded the Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree with a first class. Ajayan then joined SBT in 2000 where he played for the 4 years. Then in 2004–05 he played for Vasco S.C. In 2005, he signed for Mahindra United and was the captain of the Mahindra United football team until the club was closed down in 2010. Ajayan, also known as Thoppil Ajayan, (8 April 1950 – 13 December 2018) was a Malayalam film director who is of note for his only feature film ''Perumthachan'' (''The Master Carpenter''). The film received positive reviews from critics worldwide. For this film, Ajayan won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director and Kerala State Film Award for Best Debut Director in 1990. The film also won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Popular Film in 1990 and was nominated for the Golden Leopard award at the Locarno International Film Festival in 1992. In the afterword to his book ''The Master Carpenter'', author M. T. Vasudevan Nair wrote that Ajayan first approached him for a screenplay of his story ''Manikkakkallu''. That did not materialise and later he approached with another dream project ''Perumthachan''. In the end of the afterword, M.
