Agriculture In The Gambia
Agriculture makes up a significant proportion of the Gambia's economy, comprising 25% of its Gross domestic product, GDP. About 75% of workers in the Gambia are employed within the agricultural industry. The main cash crops produced in the country are Peanut, groundnuts (also known as peanuts), millet, sorghum, mangoes, Maize, corn, sesame, palm kernel, and cashews. The main staple crop produced is rice. Though agriculture is a major part of the Gambia's economy, Food security, food insecurity is still an issue for the population. Transatlantic Slave Trade
The Atlantic slave trade or transatlantic slave trade involved the transportation by slave traders of Slavery in Africa, enslaved African people to the Americas.
