Adam Redmond
Adam Redmond (born May 19, 1993) is a former American football center. He was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent after the 2016 NFL Draft. He played college football at Harvard. Early years Redmond attended Walsh Jesuit High School, where he received Division Two All-district honors in his last 2 years as a starter at offensive tackle and long snapper. He accepted a football scholarship from Harvard University. As a sophomore in 2013, he started 9 games at left tackle. As a junior in 2014, he started all 10 games at left tackle and received honorable-mention All-Ivy League honors. As a senior in 2015, he started all 10 games at center and was named first-team All-Ivy League. He played a total of 31 career games and studied sociology. Center (gridiron Football)
Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or " snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play. The importance of centers for a football team has increased, due to the re-emergence of 3–4 defenses. According to Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome, "you need to have somebody who can neutralize that nose tackle. If you don't, everything can get screwed up. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured. In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line.
