''Adaalat'' () is an Indian television courtroom drama anthology series about a defence attorney, K. D. Pathak (Karan Divakar Pathak), portrayed by Ronit Roy. The first season of the show premiered on Sony Entertainment Television on 20 November 2010 and ran for five years, ending on 11 July 2015. The show aired 431 episodes in its first season. ''Adaalat'' returned for its second season on Sony Entertainment Television on 4 June 2016 and ended on 4 September 2016. The show aired 26 episodes in its second season. Adalah (Islam)
Adalah () means ''justice'' and denotes the Justice of God. It is among the five Shia Principles of the Religion. Shia Muslims believe that there is intrinsic good or evil in things, and that God commands them to do the good things and shun the evil. They believe that God acts according to a purpose or design, and human reason cannot comprehend this design or purpose in its entirety (though man must always strive to understand as much as he can). The Sunni School of thought conversely subscribes to the view that nothing is good or evil per se, and that what God commanded people to do became good by virtue of his command, and what he forbade became evil. Nifedipine
Nifedipine ( ), sold under the brand name Procardia among others, is a calcium channel blocker medication used to manage angina, high blood pressure, Raynaud's phenomenon, and premature labor. It is one of the treatments of choice for Prinzmetal angina. It may be used to treat severe high blood pressure in pregnancy. Its use in preterm labor may allow more time for steroids to improve the baby's lung function and provide time for transfer of the mother to a well qualified medical facility before delivery. It is a calcium channel blocker of the dihydropyridine type. Nifedipine is taken by mouth and comes in fast- and slow-release formulations. Common side effects include lightheadedness, headache, feeling tired, leg swelling, cough, and shortness of breath. Serious side effects may include low blood pressure and heart failure. ''Adalat'' is a 1958 Bollywood drama film directed by Kalidas, starring Pradeep Kumar, Nargis, Pran in lead roles. Composed by Madan Mohan, the songs are sung by Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Mohammed Rafi, Geeta Dutt. Aap Ki Adalat
() is an Indian television show that is hosted by journalist Rajat Sharma. The show began in 1993, was broadcast on the television channel Zee TV until 2004, moved on from Zee News in 2004, and now airs on India TV. It is the longest running reality show in India's television history, and in 2014 celebrated its 21st anniversary at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Adalat Party
The Communist Party of Persia () was an Iranian communist party. Originally established as the Justice Party () in 1917 by the former social democrats who supported Baku-based Bolsheviks, it participated in the Communist International in 1919 and was renamed the "Communist Party of Persia" in 1920. Haydar Khan Amo-oghli, one of the leaders of the Persian Constitutional Revolution, was elected as its general secretary. Its foundation came about as a result of the establishment of the Persian Socialist Soviet Republic, earlier that year, by Mirza Kuchik Khan and his Jangali ("Jungle Movement") insurgents. ''Janta Ki Adalat'' () is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by T L V Prasad and produced by K. C. Bokadia, starring Mithun Chakraborty. It is a remake of Tamil film Mutrugai. It was the first movie of TLV Prasad with Mithun Chakraborty. Later on TLV Prasad went on to work with Mithun for 30 movies within a span of 8 years for which the duo registered their name in the Limca book of world records for the highest number of successful movies between an actor and director without a break in such a short time. Lok Adalat
Lok Adalat is a Statutory Organization under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, and was created as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism in India to resolve disputes/grievances outside the conventional court system. It is a forum where cases pending before panchayat, or at a pre-litigation stage in a court of law, are settled. Under this Act, the award (decision) made by the Lok Adalats is deemed to be a civil court case and is final and binding on all parties. No formal appeal against such an award lies before any court of law. However, if the parties are not satisfied with the award of the Lok Adalat they are still free to initiate litigation by approaching the court of appropriate jurisdiction. 1987 with a statutory status for using alternative dispute redressal mechanisms.
