Acid House Kings
Acid House Kings are a Swedish indie pop band. They were founded in 1991 by Joakim Ödlund (also in the bands Poprace, Double Dan, and Starlet) and brothers Niklas (Red Sleeping Beauty) and Johan Angergård (Club 8, The Legends, Poprace). History With the release of their first album, ''Pop, Look & Listen'', they supposedly decided on a 10-year plan to release an album every five years to have a trilogy of albums released by the year 2002, a plan that eventually worked out exactly as scheduled. According to plan, they released ''Advantage Acid House Kings'' in 1997 and the album proved to be a huge step forward to form their trademark sound of jangly, catchy guitar oriented indie-pop. The album featured Julia Lannerheim as guest vocalist on a couple of songs, who eventually joined the band officially as a full-time member in 2001. The Legends (Swedish Band)
The Legends are a Swedish pop band whose music is distributed by Lakeshore Records in the US, by Labrador in Sweden, and by Little Teddy in Germany. The band was formed in January 2003, and a week later, a gig was booked, supporting The Radio Dept. in Stockholm. The Legends received international acclaim for their debut album, ''Up Against the Legends'', released in 2003. Allmusic described it as characterized by melodic songwriting reminiscent of both the 1980s, the UK's ''C86'' movement, as well as 1960s American pop-rock, and summarized the album as "the kind of stunning debut that makes you excited about the possibilities of pop music." Club 8
Club 8 is a Swedish musical duo consisting of Karolina Komstedt (from the band Poprace) and Johan Angergård (Acid House Kings, Poprace). History Formed in 1995, Club 8 were signed to the Spanish record label Siesta. They released a single called "Me Too" and an album called ''Nouvelle'' with an twee pop sound. In 1998, their second album, ''The Friend I Once Had'', and the single "Missing You" were released. "Missing You" became a club and radio hit in Spain and somewhat of a college radio favorite in the US. The band started playing live.
