Accrington Stanley Football Club is a professional association football club based in Accrington, Lancashire, England, that compete in the , the fourth level of the English football league system. They have spent their entire history playing at the Crown Ground and traditionally play in red shirts, most often also with red shorts and socks. The club is known as Accrington Stanley, Stanley or just Accrington. The club came to national prominence in 1989 due to the Milk Marketing Board's popular television advert that featured the slogan '' Accrington Stanley, who are they?'' Crown Ground
The Crown Ground is a multi-use stadium in Accrington, Lancashire, England. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Accrington Stanley. Opened in 1968, the stadium has a capacity of 5,450. Stands/terraces *Jack Barret Memorial Stand: this stand is the newest stand. Running half the length of the pitch, it replaced a terrace whilst Stanley were still in the Northern Premier League. John Doolan (footballer, Born 1968)
John Doolan (born 10 November 1968) is an English football ex-player and coach. He is manager of club Accrington Stanley. Born in Liverpool, he played for Wigan Athletic between 1992 and 1996. Having worked at both Liverpool and Everton Academies he was appointed as Wigan's youth team coach in November 2011, following the departure of Dave Watson. In December 2013, Doolan joined the first team coaching staff following the arrival of Uwe Rosler the club made the playoffs and reached the semifinal of the F.A Cup losing to Arsenal on penalties. In July 2014, he moved to Scottish club Hibernian as first team coach and Assistant Manager to Allan Stubbs. Lifting the Scottish Cup in a 3-2 win against Rangers, the first time the club had achieved this piece of silverware in 114 years. Aldershot Town Football Club is a professional association football club based in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. The team competes in the National League, the fifth level of the English football league system. The club was founded in the spring of 1992 after the closure of debt-ridden Fourth Division club Aldershot.
