Abdil Qaiyyim Mutalib
Abdil Qaiyyim bin Abdul Mutalib (born 14 May 1989) is a Singaporean professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Singapore Premier League club Balestier Khalsa. Youth career Abdil signed for local S.League side Warriors FC's youth team at the age of 15 in 2004, until he left to join the Young Lions in 2007. Club career Young Lions In 2007, Abdil moved from Warriors FC to join S.League club, Young Lions on a professional contract. He had to wait until 3 August 2009, when he made his debut appearance for the club in a league fixture against the Super Reds. The match ended in a 1–1 draw. Home United Abdil joined S.League side Home United for the 2011 S.League season, making a total of 14 competitive appearances in his stint at the club. Hougang United Football Club is a professional football club based in Hougang, Singapore. The club competes in the Singapore Premier League, the top tier of Singaporean football. Founded in 1998 as Marine Castle United, the club changed its name to Hougang United in 2011. Nicknamed the Cheetahs, Hougang United has played its home games at Hougang Stadium since its formation. The Singapore Cup is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic Singaporean football. Established in 1998, it is the foremost prestigious cup competition in the country. It is open to clubs in the Singapore Premier League. Since 2005, foreign teams from other countries in Southeast Asia are occasionally invited to compete in the Singapore Cup. Thailand club, Chonburi was the first foreign club reaching the final in 2006 (they lost 3–2 in the final to local club Tampines Rovers). In 2009, Bangkok Glass became the second foreign team to reach the final, losing against local club Geylang United, but they beat Tampines Rovers in 2010 to become the first foreign winners of the Singapore Cup.
