Abdelwahed Radi (4 January 1935 – 26 March 2023) was a Moroccan politician and head of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces from November 2008 on. He was the President of the Assembly of Representatives of Morocco for two terms, from 1997 to 2007 and again from 2010 to 2011. French Morocco
The French protectorate in Morocco, also known as French Morocco, was the period of French colonial rule in Morocco that lasted from 1912 to 1956. The protectorate was officially established 30 March 1912, when Sultan Abd al-Hafid signed the Treaty of Fez, though the French military occupation of Morocco had begun with the invasion of Oujda and the bombardment of Casablanca in 1907. The French protectorate lasted until the dissolution of the Treaty of Fez on 2 March 1956, with the Franco-Moroccan Joint Declaration. Morocco's independence movement, described in Moroccan historiography as the Revolution of the King and the People, restored the exiled Mohammed V but it did not end the French presence in Morocco. The House of Representatives ( , ) is one of the two chambers—the other of which is the House of Councillors—of the Moroccan Parliament. The House of Representatives has 395 members elected for five-year terms, 305 of whom are elected in multi-seat constituencies, and 90 of whom are elected in two national lists dedicated to promote gender equality and national youth. Mohamed Bouzoubaa ( ; born 1939, Meknes – died 16 November 2007) was a Moroccan politician of the Socialist Union of Popular Forces party. Mohamed Taieb Naciri ( ; 1939 – 29 May 2012) was a Moroccan lawyer and politician who held the position of Minister of Justice between 2010 and 2012 in the cabinet of Abbas El Fassi. Salé
Salé (, ) is a city in northwestern Morocco, on the right bank of the Bou Regreg river, opposite the national capital Rabat, for which it serves as a commuter town. Along with some smaller nearby towns, Rabat and Salé form together a single metropolitan area. Founded in the 11th century, it later became a haven for pirates in the 17th century as an independent republic before being incorporated into Alawi Morocco. Mohammed VI (; born 21 August 1963) is King of Morocco. A member of the Alawi dynasty, he acceded to the throne on 23 July 1999, upon the death of his father, King Hassan II.
