Abahani Limited Dhaka (), also referred as Dhaka Abahani or Abahani Limited, is a Bangladeshi professional football club based in the Dhanmondi area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club currently competes in the Bangladesh Premier League, the top flight of Bangladeshi football. The club was founded as Abahani Krira Chakra (), through the re-organisation of Iqbal Sporting Club in 1972 by Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of the first president of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The club was converted into a Limited company in 1989. Abahani Limited Dhaka is regarded as one of the country's most renowned and well supported clubs. Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup or simply Fed Cup , is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. Maruful Haque () is a Bangladeshi professional football coach and former player, who is currently serving as the head coach of Bangladesh Premier League club Abahani Limited Dhaka. Sheikh Kamal
Sheikh Kamal (5 August 1949 – 15 August 1975) was a Bangladeshi politician, athlete and military officer. He was the eldest son of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding president of Bangladesh, and the younger brother of Sheikh Hasina, who would later become prime minister of Bangladesh. He was the founder of Abahani Limited Dhaka. Sait Nagjee Football Tournament
The Sait Nagjee All India Football Tournament was an invitational Association football, football tournament held in Kozhikode, Kerala. The tournament was very popular from the beginning and attracted large crowd since 1952. The tournament was played until 1995, though with stoppages a couple of times.
