Aarhus Gymnastikforening
Aarhus Gymnastikforening (; commonly known as AGF ) is a professional sports club based in Aarhus, Jutland, Denmark. Founded in 1880, it is one of the oldest clubs in the country where gymnastics and fencing were featured as its main sports. However, AGF is mostly known for its football department, which was established in 1902. Currently, the club's first team plays in the Danish Superliga, the top flight of the Danish football league system. AGF has won five Danish Football Championships and a shared record nine Danish Cups. In 1961, AGF reached the quarter-finals of the European Cup where they were knocked out by later winners, Benfica. In 1989, AGF again reached a European quarter-final, this time in the European Cup Winners' Cup, where they lost 1–0 on aggregate to later winners FC Barcelona. Aarhus Stadium
Aarhus Stadium ( Danish: Aarhus Stadion) known for sponsorship reasons as the Ceres Park is an association football stadium in Aarhus, Denmark which has been the home ground of Aarhus Gymnastikforening since the 1920s. With a current capacity of 19,433, it is the third largest football stadium of any football team in Denmark. It is part of the sports complex, known as Aarhus Sports Park (Danish: Aarhus Idrætspark), that is run by Ceres Park & Arena. The venue was inaugurated in June 1920 as Aarhus Stadium with major renovations made in the 1990s and 2000s. In recent years, it has been known under several names due to sponsorship arrangements; Atletion (2003–2006), NRGi Park (2006–2015), and in July 2015 it was renamed Ceres Park, when the naming rights for AGF's football matches and events was acquired by Ceres Brewery, a subsidiary of Royal Unibrew. Danish Football Champions
The Danish football champions are the winners of the highest league of football in Denmark. The title has been contested since 1913, in a varying form of competitions. Since 1991, the winners have been found through the Danish Superliga championship. The Danish football championship is governed by the Divisionsforeningen. The early Danish football championships were decided in a single game, and the competition was not nationwide until its structure was altered before the 1927–28 season. Until the 1950s, the winners' list included teams exclusively from the Copenhagen area. Kjøbenhavns Boldklub (KB) thus won 12 of its shared record 15 Danish championships before the 1954–55 season, when Køge Boldklub became the first non-Copenhagen team to be crowned Danish football champions. Håvard Flo
Håvard Flo (born 4 April 1970) is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He played for Stryn and Sogndal, before he left Norway in 1994 and played for AGF, SV Werder Bremen and Wolverhampton Wanderers. He returned to Sogndal in 2001. He made a comeback for Sogndal in 2010. Career Flo was born in Flo, Stryn. His most successful spell was in AGF, where he won the Danish Cup in 1996. The same year AGF finished second in the League – behind eventual champions Brøndby. AGF also won a bronze medal in the "Flo-era". Flo is still remembered in Aarhus as one of the best AGF players ever. In 2008, when Flo first announced his retirement, he returned to Aarhus for a final tribute in the half time break. Stig Tøfting
Stig Tøfting (born 14 August 1969), commonly known as Tøffe, is a former Danish professional footballer and assistant coach, who most recently was the assistant of Erik Rasmussen at AGF. Tøfting was a hard-hitting combative defensive midfielder who often made rash tackles. He started his career with AGF Aarhus, with whom he won two Danish Cups, and most notably went on to play for German clubs Hamburger SV and MSV Duisburg, as well as Bolton Wanderers in England. He ended his career in 2007 with Randers FC, having won the 2006 Danish Cup with the team. He played 41 matches for the Denmark national team between 1993 and 2002, in which he scored 2 goals. Jan Lewis Bartram (born 6 March 1962 as Jan Louis Bartram), known simply as Jan Bartram, is a Danish former professional association football player in the midfielder position. He played for Scottish team Rangers and Bayer 05 Uerdingen in Germany, as well as Danish teams AGF and Brøndby IF. He earned 32 caps and scored five goals for the Denmark national team and was in the Danish squad for the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Flemming Søgaard Povlsen (born 3 December 1966) is a Danish football pundit and former professional footballer who played as a striker. Born in Aarhus and a youth product of Viby IF, Povlsen also played in The Netherlands, Spain and Germany, until a knee injury forced him to retire, at only 28 years of age. Before the injury, Povlsen rose to prominence at FC Cologne, before settling at Borussia Dortmund, with whom he won the 1995 Bundesliga and played the final half of his career. Odense Boldklub (; also known as Odense BK or the more commonly used OB) is a Danish professional football club based in the city of Odense, in southern Denmark. Boldklubben af 1893, commonly referred to as B.93, is a football club based in Østerbro, Copenhagen, Denmark. The team competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second level of the Danish football league system, after achieving promotion in the 2022–23 season.
