''A Winter Symphony'' is a Christmas album and the tenth studio album by the English soprano singer Sarah Brightman, released in November 2008. Album information The album borrows its name from Brightman's earlier 2008 album, ''Symphony''. A deluxe edition included extra tracks and a DVD that featured a making-of featurette, a photo gallery, and Brightman's live performances of four songs from NBC's ''Fashion on Ice'' show. The album includes a number of traditional songs: "Silent Night", " In the Bleak Midwinter", and "Child in a Manger", as well as two versions of "Ave Maria", one being the classical piece by French composer Charles Gounod, and the other an original composition by Mexican composers Loris Ceroni and Jorge Avedaño, performed as a duet in Spanish with tenor Fernando Lima. Sarah Brightman
Sarah Brightman (born 14 August 1960) is an English classical crossover soprano singer and actress. Brightman began her career as a member of the dance troupe Hot Gossip and released several disco singles as a solo performer. In 1981, she made her West End theatre, West End musical theatre debut in ''Cats (musical), Cats'' and met composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, whom she later married. She went on to star in several West End and Broadway theatre, Broadway musicals, including ''The Phantom of the Opera (1986 musical), The Phantom of the Opera'', where she originated the role of Christine Daaé. Göran Bror Benny Andersson (; born 16 December 1946) is a Swedish musician, composer and producer best known as a member of the pop group ABBA and co-composer of the musicals ''Chess'', ''Kristina från Duvemåla'', and '' Mamma Mia!'' For the 2008 film version of ''Mamma Mia!'' and its 2018 sequel, ''Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again'', he worked also as an executive producer. Björn Kristian Ulvaeus (; born 25 April 1945) is a Swedish musician, singer, songwriter, and producer best known as a member of the musical group ABBA. "Arrival" is a 1976 composition by Swedish pop group ABBA from their album ''Arrival''. It is an instrumental piece, mainly the brainchild of member Benny Andersson. The most widely heard cover versions are ones by French singer Michèle Torr released under the title "J'aime", British musician Mike Oldfield on his album '' QE2'', the singing duo Daniel Balavoine and Anni-Frid Lyngstad creating a French-language song titled "Belle", and the duo Frida and BA Robertson, as part of the UK musical ''Abbacadabra'', performing an English-language version titled "Time". Background "Arrival" was the second and last composition from the group not to contain lyrics, following " Intermezzo No. 1" the previous year.
