ASA Issy
Association Sportive Ararat Issy is a French Association football, football club founded in 1975 in sports, 1975 based in Issy-les-Moulineaux. Managed by Franck Toutoundjian, A.S.A Issy (or A.S Ararat Issy) plays in the championnat de France Amateurs 2, CFA 2 in 2009–10. History In 1974, a group of friends decided to create a football club for Armenians, Armenian community of Île-de-France (region), Ile-de-France. It was essentially a way of sharing their passion for sport with the youth of the community at the same time as transmitting some of the rich cultural heritage of Armenia, one of the oldest civilisations in the world. The Association Sportive Arménienne (A.S.A) decided to play in Issy-les-Moulineaux after the request of Armand Zarpanelian, former player who built the stadium in 1981. Issy-les-Moulineaux () is a commune in the southwestern suburban area of Paris, France, lying on the left bank of the river Seine. Its citizens are called in French. André Santini (; born 20 October 1940) is a French politician and current mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux, Hauts-de-Seine. A former member of the UDF, he did not support François Bayrou, the candidate of his party for the first round of the 2007 French presidential election, choosing instead to support Nicolas Sarkozy of the Union for a Popular Movement. After the election, he joined the new right-of-center party known as the New Centre (with other former UDF members who supported Nicolas Sarkozy) in the National Assembly, where he had been re-elected during the June 2007 elections.
