335th Theater Signal Command (United States)
The 335th Signal Command (Theater) is an operational and functional U.S. Army Reserve command of more than 4,000 Active and Reserve Soldiers, providing Signal and Cyber units in direct support of 3rd Army/USARCENT in Southwest Asia, Army Reserve exercises, and Homeland Defense missions throughout the United States. Embracing the motto, "Ready Lightning," The 335th Signal Command (Theater) is one of the Army's four theater signal commands. The 335th Signal Command (Theater) has Army Reserve Signal Soldiers assigned to units throughout United States and overseas supporting ongoing military operations. Shoulder Sleeve Insignia
A shoulder sleeve insignia (often abbreviated SSI) is an embroidered patch worn on some uniforms of the United States Army. It is used by major formations of the U.S. Army; each formation has a unique formation patch. The U.S. Army is unique among the U.S. Armed Forces in that all soldiers are required to wear the patch of their headquarters as part of their military uniforms. Shoulder sleeve insignia receive their name from the fact that they are most commonly worn on the upper left sleeve of the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) and Army Green uniform. However, they can be placed on other locations, notably on the side of a helmet. Shoulder sleeve insignia worn on the upper right sleeve of Army uniforms denote former wartime service. Blacklick, Ohio
Blacklick is a small unincorporated community in southern Jefferson Township, Franklin County, Ohio, United States. Blacklick is also included in the Columbus Metropolitan area. The community was established by William A. Smith in 1852. It was originally named Smithville, but there was an existing town by that name so it was renamed to Blacklick after the nearby creek. It was thought by historian W. Edson Richmond that Blacklick Creek derived its name from local landowner H. G. Black. However, Richmond references John F. Mansfield's ''Map of the State of Ohio'' from 1806 which labels Blacklick Creek, while Henry George Black was not born until 1817. Geography Blacklick Creek gently flows through Blacklick. Fort Gordon, formerly known as Camp Gordon, is a United States Army installation established in October 1941. It is the current home of the United States Army Signal Corps, United States Army Cyber Command, and the Cyber Center of Excellence.
