3200 Phaethon
3200 Phaethon (; previously sometimes spelled Phæton), provisionally designated , is an active Apollo asteroid with an orbit that brings it closer to the Sun than any other named asteroid (though there are numerous unnamed asteroids with smaller perihelia, such as ). For this reason, it was named after the Greek Hero, Phaëthon, son of the sun god Helios. It is in diameter and is the parent body of the Geminids meteor shower of mid-December. With an observation arc of 35+ years, it has a very well determined orbit. The 2017 Earth approach distance of about 10 million km was known with an accuracy of ±700 m. Discovery Phaethon was the first asteroid to be discovered using images from a spacecraft. Simon F. Green and John K. Davies discovered it in images from October 11, 1983, while searching Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) data for moving objects. It was formally announced on October 14 in IAUC 3878 along with optical confirmation by Charles T. Kowal, w ...

Keisei 3200 Series (2025)
The Keisei 3200 series () is a commuter electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Keisei Electric Railway in Japan since 2025. Design Based on the 3100 series design introduced in 2019, the 3200 series was designed as a "flexible train", allowing trainsets to be arranged in 4-, 6-, or 8-car formations as needed. The trains will use silicon carbide-based VVVF traction control systems, offering 69% energy savings over the traction systems used with the 3500 series trains. Further energy savings are offered by disabling their external information displays at speeds of at least and re-enabling them at speeds of at most . To facilitate multiple working, the 3200 series adopts electrical connectors to allow for easier dividing and joining, a first for Keisei. Previous train types used jumper cables to facilitate such operation. Internally, the trains use LED lighting throughout. Passenger accommodation consists of longitudinal seating. Wh ...

BMW 3200 CS
The BMW 3200 CS was a sports touring car manufactured by BMW between January 1962 and September 1965. It was designed by Gruppo Bertone, Bertone and was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show#1961, 1961 Frankfurt Motor Show. More than five hundred were built. The 3200 CS was the final variation on BMW's early postwar luxury platform that began with the BMW 501, 501 introduced in 1951. The styling of the 3200 CS influenced the 2000 CS coupe version of the BMW New Class, New Class and the later BMW E9, New Six coupes. It was the first BMW to feature the Hofmeister kink (which would become one of the company's trademark design elements). Concept and design In 1960, Helmut Werner Bonsch, BMW's marketing manager, discovered that the Pininfarina body for the Lancia Flaminia coupe would fit on the chassis of the BMW 3200L sedan without major modification. He proposed to BMW's management to commission Pininfarina to build Flaminia coupe bodies with BMW grilles in order to create a suc ...

ISO 3200
Film speed is the measure of a photographic film's sensitivity to light, determined by sensitometry and measured on various numerical scales, the most recent being the ISO system introduced in 1974. A closely related system, also known as ISO, is used to describe the relationship between exposure and output image lightness in digital cameras. Prior to ISO, the most common systems were ASA in the United States and DIN in Europe. The term ''speed'' comes from the early days of photography. Photographic emulsions that were more sensitive to light needed less time to generate an acceptable image and thus a complete exposure could be finished faster, with the subjects having to hold still for a shorter length of time. Emulsions that were less sensitive were deemed "slower" as the time to complete an exposure was much longer and often usable only for still life photography. Exposure times for photographic emulsions shortened from hours to fractions of a second by the late 19th centu ...

3200 Meters
3200 meters is an uncommon long middle-distance, or short long-distance, track and field running event that is 200 m longer than the much more common 3,000 metre run, and slightly shorter than the two mile run. At exactly eight laps on a standard 400 m track, or sixteen laps around an indoor 200 m track, this event is typically run only in American high schools, along with the 1600 m. It is the longest standardized event in track meets conducted by the NFHS in American high school competition. It is colloquially called the "two-mile", despite the distance being 18.688 meters shorter. In college, the typical runner of this event would convert to the 5,000-metre run, or potentially the 3,000-metre run during the indoor season. While World Athletics does not recognize an official world record or world best in the 3200 meters, the two mile run can be used as an approximation. American high school records According to NFHS, the current male high school record holder in t ...
