Jeffrey Mark Alexander (born November 29, 1997), known professionally as 22Gz ( ), is an American rapper credited as a pioneer of the Brooklyn drill scene. 22Gz released his first major mixtape, ''The Blixky Tape'', through Atlantic Records in 2019. Early life Jeffrey Alexander was born on November 29, 1997 in the East New York section of Brooklyn, New York. He was raised in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. His father died before he was born. He started his entertainment career on the New York City Subway performing showtime dance routines. He is of Guyanese descent. Bradley Robert Moss (born 2 September 2000), known professionally as Ghosty, is a British record producer and DJ. He is regarded as one of the UK's best producers in the country's music industry. He gained widespread recognition in the UK music scene after he produced Digga D's "No Diet" in 2019, which peaked at number 20 on the UK Singles Chart and was later included on '' Double Tap Diaries''. Drill is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in Chicago streets in the early 2010s. It is sonically similar to the trap music subgenre and lyrically similar to the gangsta rap subgenre. Drill music progressed into the American mainstream circa 2012 following the success of rappers like Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Lil Reese, Fredo Santana, G Herbo, Lil Bibby, and King Louie who had many local fans and a significant internet presence alongside producer Young Chop. Brooklyn drill is a regional subgenre of drill music, centered in Brooklyn, New York, that began as derivative of the drill music scene in Chicago and later became derivative of UK drill with its 808 percussion and sliding notes by producers from the UK drill scene. Flatbush, Brooklyn
Flatbush is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Michael Kyle Williams (born September 23, 1998), known professionally as Sheff G, is an American rapper from the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York. He rose to fame with his single "No Suburban" in 2017 which was a response to the song "Suburban" by 22Gz. Williams is widely known as one of the vanguards of the Brooklyn drill movement. Early life Michael Williams was born on September 23, 1998 in Brooklyn, New York to a Trinidadian mother and Haitian father. He was raised in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn. He was influenced and inspired to rap by listening to I.G. and Chicago drill rappers like Lil Bibby and Chief Keef. Before getting into music, Sheff G joined the 83 (Eight Trey) Gangsta Crips at age 12, and was imprisoned for 2 years for a felony gun charge.
