2023 World Series
The 2023 World Series was the championship series of Major League Baseball's (MLB) 2023 season, and the 119th edition of the World Series. It was a best-of-seven playoff played between the American League (AL) champion Texas Rangers and the National League (NL) champion Arizona Diamondbacks. The series began on October 27 and ended on November 1 with Texas winning in five games. The Rangers won their first World Series title since their founding in 1961. This was the sixth World Series overall to be played entirely on artificial turf. It was the first of these six to be played in the two home team’s stadiums since the 1993 World Series. The last “all-artificial turf” before 2023 had been the neutral site of the 2020 World Series, also at Globe Life Field. The Rangers and Diamondbacks entered the 2023 MLB postseason as wild cards. 2023 Texas Rangers Season
The 2023 Texas Rangers season was the 63rd of the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers franchise overall, their 52nd in Arlington, Texas, Arlington as the Rangers, and the fourth season at Globe Life Field. It was also the team's first season under the management of Bruce Bochy. The Rangers had six players (five starters) named to the All-Star game, a franchise record. MLB International is a division of Major League Baseball primarily responsible for international broadcasts of games. In partnership with DirecTV and MLB Network, it produces and syndicates the All-Star Game, and the World Series, as well as the Caribbean Series, the Australian Baseball League Championship Series and the World Baseball Classic to broadcasters in over 200 countries, and the American Forces Network for U.S. military troops abroad. Ryan Adam Rene Jean Spilborghs (born September 5, 1979) is an American baseball broadcaster for AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain & SiriusXM's MLB Network Radio, and a former professional baseball outfielder. Baseball career College Spilborghs played college ball at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was all Big West Conference in 2001. He also played for the Madison Mallards during the summer of 2001. Colorado Rockies Spilborghs was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 7th round of the 2002 MLB Draft.
