2022 TCR UK Touring Car Championship
The 2022 TCR UK Touring Car Championship was the fifth season of the TCR UK Touring Car Championship. The championship featured production-based touring cars built to TCR specifications and was held over fifteen races across seven meetings throughout England. The championship was operated by Stewart Lines' Maximum Group. Calendar A new calendar was announced commencing on 16 April 2022 with 15 rounds scheduled. Daniel John Welch (born 17 July 1982) is a British auto racing driver. During his career he has mostly driven for his family team, Welch Motorsport. He drove in the British Touring Car Championship from 2011 to 2016. He is the son of former British rallycross driver John Welch. Chris Smiley (born 6 April 1992) is a British racing driver. He is a British Touring Car Championship race winner and the current TCR UK Touring Car Championship champion. Jessica Hawkins (born 16 February 1995 in Headley, East Hampshire) is a British racing driver and stunt driver from East Hampshire, England. She currently competes in the W Series, as well as the British Touring Car Championship. Biography Hawkins made her professional motorsport début in British Formula Ford at Silverstone, in a one-off event where she twice finished inside the top ten. The Audi RS 3 LMS TCR is a racing car built according to the TCR Touring Car, TCR rule system. It is based on the Audi_A3#RS_3_(2015–present), Audi RS 3 sedan. Jac Constable (born 6 December 1997 in Fleet, Hampshire) is a British racing driver who currently competes in TCR UK and serves as a BTCC development driver, both for Power Maxed Racing. Constable made his British Touring Car Championship debut at Croft in 2020, however he withdrew after qualifying due to appendicitis. The team has raced in the British Touring Car Championship, since 2015 after purchasing BTC Racing in February 2015.
