2022 Players Championship
The 2022 Players Championship was the 49th Players Championship, held March 10–14 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It was the 41st edition at the Stadium Course and concluded on Monday due to weather delays. The purse was increased by a third this year to twenty million dollars. Cameron Smith shot a six-under-par 66 in the final round to finish at 275 (–13) to win his first Players Championship, one stroke ahead of runner-up Anirban Lahiri, the 54-hole leader. Defending champion Justin Thomas finished ten strokes back, tied for 33rd place. The 2021–22 PGA Tour is the 107th season of the PGA Tour, and the 55th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began on September 13, 2021. The 2022 FedEx Cup Playoffs will begin on August 8, and conclude on August 28, 2022. Garrick Higgo
Garrick Higgo (born 12 May 1999) is a South African professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour, European Tour and the Sunshine Tour. He has won three times on the European Tour, winning the 2020 Open de Portugal and the Gran Canaria Lopesan Open as well as the Canary Islands Championship in 2021. Lucas Herbert (born 5 December 1995) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and the PGA Tour. Talor Keith Gooch (born November 14, 1991) is an American professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Gooch was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Cameron Hugh Davis (born 21 February 1995) is an Australian professional golfer. He had a successful amateur career, winning the Australian Amateur and the individual and team events at the Eisenhower Trophy.
