2020 Toyota Racing Series
The 2020 Castrol Toyota Racing Series was the sixteenth running of the Toyota Racing Series, the premier open-wheel motorsport category held in New Zealand. The series consisted of fifteen races at five meetings. It began on 17 January at Highlands Motorsport Park, in Cromwell, and concluded on 16 February with the 65th running of the New Zealand Grand Prix, at Circuit Chris Amon in Feilding. Changes Technical In May 2019, the new Tatuus F3 T318, nicknamed "FT-60", chassis was revealed to be the chassis used from the 2020 season onwards. The change in chassis will also be accompanied by a new engine. The modified 1.8L Toyota four cylinder 2ZZ-GE production engines that were used since the series' inception will be replaced with a 2.0L turbocharged unit, increasing power output from 200bhp (150kW) to 270bhp (200kW). The Formula Regional Oceania Championship is New Zealand's premier formula racing category. The series includes races for every major trophy in New Zealand circuit racing including the New Zealand Motor Cup and the Denny Hulme Memorial Trophy. The cars are also the category for the New Zealand Grand Prix – one of only two races in the world with FIA approval to use the ''Grand Prix'' nomenclature outside Formula One. Caio Jotta Collet (born 3 April 2002) is a Brazilian racing driver who most recently competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship for MP Motorsport. He is the 2018 French F4 Championship champion and a member of the Alpine Academy. Jackson Walls (born 1 January 2003) is an Australian racing driver currently racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia. Career Australian F4 Championship In 2018 Walls jumped into a single seater car for the first time competitively with the Patrizicorse team in the Australian F4 Championship. Oliver Rasmussen (born 6 November 2000) is a Danish racing driver currently competing in the World Endurance Championship for Jota. Early career Italian F4 2018 Rasmussen started his single-seater career off with Jenzer Motorsport at the opening round of the 2018 Italian F4 Championship. Rasmussen completed the first ten races with 4 retirements and a best finish of 11th, a string of 3 retirements in a row starting at Monza's 2nd race left Rasmussen the only one of the 6 Jenzer drivers without a point. R-ace GP
R-ace GP is an auto racing team from France, involved in many areas of motorsport, specifically those involving Renault. They are currently competing in the Formula Regional European Championship, Italian F4 and ADAC F4. History R-ace GP was founded in 2011 by Thibaut de Merindol and Cyril Comte. They partook in the Eurocup and NEC championships of Formula Renault 2.0. Their driver line-up included Norman Nato, Pieter Schothorst and Côme Ledogar. Axel Gnos (born 30 April 2003) is a Swiss-French racing driver of Vietnamese descent, who drives for G4 Racing in the Formula Regional European Championship.
