2020 Philippine Census
The 2020 Census of Population and Housing (CPH) is the fifteenth census in the Philippines and is the second census conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority. Pilot run The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducted a pilot run of the census from May 20 to June 17, 2019 covering eight areas. A new computer-aided system was tested, with PSA personnel to use an electronic questionnaire through digital tablets. Postponement The census was originally scheduled to start on May 4, 2020. The conduct of the census was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The census was planned to be held sometime after the lifting of the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon which was imposed as a response to the health crisis. Dasmariñas (colloquially shortened to Dasma), officially the City of Dasmariñas ( fil, Lungsod ng Dasmariñas), is a 1st class component city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. A census is the procedure of systematically acquiring, recording and calculating information about the members of a given population. This term is used mostly in connection with national population and housing censuses; other common censuses include censuses of agriculture, traditional culture, business, supplies, and traffic censuses. Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area
The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) of the Philippines has a special geographic area (SGA) in the province of Cotabato, a province which is part of the Soccsksargen region. This area consists of 63 barangays in six municipalities of Cotabato. These barangays were partitioned from Soccsksargen following a two-part plebiscite held in January and February 2019 which formed Bangsamoro after residents of said barangays consented their localities' inclusion to the new autonomous region. The municipalities these barangays are a part of, as well as the barangays themselves remain part of Cotabato.
