2020 J.League Cup
The 2020 J.League Cup, known as the 2020 J.League YBC Levain Cup ( ja, 2020 JリーグYBCルヴァンカップ) for sponsorship reasons, was the 28th edition of J.League Cup, a Japanese association football cup competition. It began on 16 February 2020 and ended on 4 January 2021. Format All 18 teams playing in the 2020 J1 League participated. In addition, depending on the result of the 2020 AFC Champions League qualifying play-offs, one or two teams from 2020 J2 League with the best performance in the previous season (i.e. Matsumoto Yamaga and Júbilo Iwata, the 17th- and 18th-placed teams in 2019 J1 League, respectively) may participate. Yokohama FC
is a Japanese professional football club based in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, part of the Greater Tokyo Area. The club currently plays in the J1 League, which is the first tier of football in the country. The club was formed by fans of Yokohama Flügels as a protest against Flügels' merger with Yokohama Marinos in 1999, becoming the first supporter-owned professional sports team in Japan. Since gaining J.League membership in 2001, Yokohama FC long lasted at the second tier of the Japanese football league system. The club gained promotion to J.League Division 1 for the 2007 season, promoted after winning the Division 2 title. However, YFC were immediately relegated in the following season. Shimizu S-Pulse
is a professional Japanese football club. Located in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, S-Pulse currently competes in the J2 League (J2). The club was formed in 1991 as a founding member of the J.League (''"Original Ten"''), which began the following year.
